When will the project be completed?
There are several phases to this extensive project. Phase 1 has been completed; Phase 2 is estimated to be completed by July 2021; and Phases 3 and 4 will begin in Spring 2022. Please refer to the phase details listed here and in additional FAQs. Updates will be provided throughout the project. All timelines subject to change.
What are the details of the construction project and associated phases?
The project is separated in phases: Phase 1 consisting of initial model room renovations, Phase 2 including the remodel of 85 guest rooms, Phase 3 including the tower lobby renovation, and Phase 4 encompassing the center (additional rooms) and south (lobby and dining areas) wings of the Main Lodge.

What guest rooms configurations will be offered?
We anticipate having a variety of room configurations available. Currently, the plan is to have the following room types included in the newly remodeled rooms:
- King and King with Sleeper
- Double Queen and Double Queen with Sleeper
- 1 Bedroom and King Suites
- And possibly, some other configurations
What are the expected construction hours?
Construction will take place primarily during Monday through Thursday, during the hours of 8am – 6pm, with no expected weekend activity. Noise generating activities are expected to occur during the hours of 9am-7:30pm.
Which rooms / areas of the resort will be under construction?
The Main Lodge is where all of the construction activities will be occurring. Please refer to the project phases above on estimated dates for phases of construction.
Will my stay at Boyne Highlands be interrupted in any way?
You may hear noise during the specified noise generating hours (Monday – Thursday, 9am-7:30pm) if your room is located in proximity of the sections slated for work. Depending on where your room is located, you may have to access other areas of the Main Lodge by walking around the construction areas. Shuttles will be available for guest use.
Will the resort continue to be open during the remodeling and construction of the designated areas?
Yes, the resort will continue to remain open while construction continues on various sections of the Main Lodge. This may require services (for example, lodging check in) to be relocated to alternative areas of the resort. Shuttles will be available for guest use. Any location changes will be communicated out as soon as information is available.
